Mental Health Awareness Week, 18th – 24th May

This week see’s Mental Health Awareness Week in the UK. In this current global climate and in the UK, mental health conditions are considered to be more prominent; as people deal with more and more issues.

Back on the 24th April we did a post about Mental Health Matters (click here to go to post).

During this week we will be releasing daily posts about Mental Health relating to sports and general life.

If any of you are feeling low, depressed, lost, or anything else; remember you are not alone.

Click the link to the Mental Health Matters post and you will find many different services and groups, where you can contact or visit for advice.

“Getting help [for depression], for someone like me who saw getting help as a weakness, was a big step. I did an awareness campaign and that first step was really difficult for me. I thought people were going to think I was mad.”

Sir John Kirwan, Ex-All Black player and Rugby Union Coach
